CollabVM Server 2.0 supports most Microsoft Windows versions and all Linux distributions. It will primarily support the amd64/64-bit architecture. Other architectures like ARM or i386/32-bit should also work. The server will also build/run on MacOS and BSD variants, but nobody on the team currently uses either operating system so the server will have to be built manually.

Unsupported operating systems

Windows Vista, XP and below

Windows Vista and XP, and by extension Server 2008, 2003, and others, as well as older versions of Windows such as Windows 2000 will not be supported. Microsoft has discontinued support for these operating systems, and since Microsoft has dropped support, CollabVM will also not support these operating systems. While CollabVM Server 2.0 will still run on these operating systems, they will not be supported and no fixes will be made if these older versions later break.

Ubuntu 14.04 and below

Canonical has discontinued support for Ubuntu 14.04 and older. While CollabVM Server 2.0 will still run on these versions, we will not provide support unless you are running at least Ubuntu 16.04 or higher, and no fixes will be made if these older versions later break.
