There should be some reality check on BWR associated people. Nintendo and any copyright holders, except Disney (Which made New! BonziWORLD owner explicitly ban suggesting Disney characters) really don’t give shit about nonprofit use / short term profitting off their IP because of two reasons: 1. It costs more time and money to take action to every single people 2. It is bad for their PR (Public Relations) with their fanbase. For example, Nintendo doesn’t even give shit about people selling unofficial merchandise at conventions or fanart commissions online. There was an incident with crowdfunding project something to do with Animal Crossing being taken down, but it was due to it was an attempt to get long-term profit. BonziWORLD is, in fact, pretty niche site. New! BonziWORLD was nonprofit. While bonzi.world asked for donations, New! BonziWORLD was not even have any channel for donation. It is a site that only people who knows about it goes to.

Just one thing

The "copyright war" did indeed exist.

But the difference between BWR and New! BonziWORLD is that BWR uses MSAgent characters, and microsoft long discontinued the program, and probably doesn't give a single shit about it anymore, while New! BonziWORLD uses copyrighted (and off-topic) characters such as mario or cartman. So the weeb who ran New! BonziWORLD might got her asshole filled by copyright from nintendo or just as the page says, got sold.

I dont know, since I'm the Administrator of BWR site and that might be just my perspective --ItzChris (talk) 11:03, 17 May 2020 (EDT)

Even if software is abandoned its developer still reserve all rights. Windows 7 is no longer supported and Microsoft generally don’t give a shit about its noncommercial use, but if you ever use pirated Windows 7 for profit, i.e. selling computers that pirated Windows 7 preinstalled or using it for business purposes, Microsoft would definitely go after you.

It would apply to MSAgent too. If BWR owner tried to open an online shop and sold MSAgent merchandise Microsoft would have gone after him.

Therefore, everyone were just going under the radar.

In addition, putting defamatory statement about owner of New! BonziWORLD and spreading fake rumor about coronavirus would be really immature way to solve the problem. It just makes anyone put that statement on BWR source code immature enough to lynch competitor using false and defamatory statement.

In fact, Nintendo is one that should take action, not anyone at BWR should. Again, it will be just a lynch, similar to honor killing in many islam-extremest countries.

I am the person who bought the site. I heard story about the site from the previous owner. Italiangoat (talk) 17:55, 30 June 2020 (EDT)
