Visual Studio Code is an IDE created by Microsoft released in 2015. Although it carries the name "Visual Studio", it is mostly different from the "Visual Studio 20xx" line of products you're probably familiar with. Visual Studio Code is free, lightweight, and open-source. It's also cross-platform which makes it a very handy and useful tool. Unlike the Visual Studio 20xx, it is purley made in html, CSS, and JavaScript.
