MTTOOL version 2.00 release notes Copyright 1990 Microsoft Corporation 1) IDSLAVE cannot be used on a machine running OS/2 with the USEGDT mode set to ON previously. In a situation where you want to use GDT addresses AND a slave, do the following: - Set USEGDT mode to OFF - idslave - Set USEGDT mode to ON 2) SLAVE mode cannot be used on a machine running OS/2 with the USEGDT mode set to ON. That is, the SLAVE command should not be executed after enabling USEGDT mode previously. 3) ECHO mode cannot be set via the ECHO command on a DOS machine. As a workaround, the command SSTATE can be used in place of ECHO to enable ECHO mode. The following commands are equivalent: ECHO == SSTATE 1 4) Some indications explicitly expected in the scripts are not necessarily going to be returned, depending on whether the NDI processes the request synchronously or asynchronously. Some failures within the test scripts can be attributed to this. 5) Occasionally, a CHECKINTNUM or TRANSMITCHAIN command will wait a longer period of time than necessary to return. This is evidenced on some NDI's when Indications are off. This will exhibit itself as a screen, or two, of dots. However, it will eventually time-out, return, and function normally afterwards. 6) MTTOOL test machines must be on a localized network. That is, the master and slave machine must be their own network; seperated from non-MTTOOL network traffic. Exposure to non-MTTOOL network traffic could produce unpredictable results. 7) The scripts included with MTTOOL are meant to be used as a guide to correct test writing and coverage. They will not run perfectly on every mac. It is expected that they will require at least minor modification to run on the mac to be tested.
