Windows 2000 Pro SP4/Windows XP Pro SP3 x86 (VM 2)
VM2 is the third VM in CollabVM. The VM currently runs Microsoft Windows XP Professional x86 Service Pack 3 and Windows 2000 Professional SP4.

The VM contains several preinstalled programs, including 7-Zip, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, Microsoft Visual J# 2005, Mypal68 (a fork of Mozilla Firefox 68 for Windows XP), Superium, Notepad++, Everything, and all of the essential updates available for XP. The VM has a Obama theme and wallpaper set by default. Both the Windows XP and Windows 2000 partitions have 40GB of disk space, since May 27, 2023. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with a QXL graphics card, allowing it to run some basic 2D applications.
VM2 was the only other VM along with VM1 to not have changed operating systems since its introduction, until May 27, 2023 when it switched to a dual-boot configuration. It is currently the only official VM on the site to have two operating systems installed, but VM3 also had a dual-boot setup at some point.
