== History ==
It was first created by [[Vanilla|Novella]] in September of 2016, but was later transferred to [[Dartz]] and made official. Before it got transferred to Dartz (and a matter of fact, before Novella's server ever existed), there were plenty of alternate CollabVM Discord servers you could use. Some stayed up forever, some went inactive (most all of them did actually), and some are just completely gone.
In the near-end of December 2018, the CollabVM Discord server officially closed down, due to e-drama. You could only enter with a private invite during this time. The server remained fairly small at the time, being less than 100 members.

It had no privacy and was very chaotic, and was prone to mods and memebers constant shitposting, and children begging to be verified every 20 minutes, before it was shuttered and replaced with the new ticket-based verification system.
