Windows 8 is a desktop operating system by Microsoft introduced in 2012, which had a tablet UI. Its server counterpart is Windows Server 2012, which introduced Aero Lite and notably broken Wi-Fi support.
Windows 8 was hated mainly because of the failed attempt to bring the tablet UI to the desktop. The UI design was heavily tailored towards tablets and smartphones, which resulted in cutting out features essential to desktop users such as the Start button, the Classic theme, and others.
It used to be VM4 on CollabVM, but due to low activity, it was replaced with Windows 98 Second Edition.
