The VM contains several preinstalled programs, including 7-Zip, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, Microsoft Visual J# 2005, [[Mypal68]] (a fork of Mozilla Firefox 68 for Windows XP), Superium, Notepad++ and, Everything., Unlikeand theall other Windows VMs (except VM 0b0t),of the useressential doesupdates notavailable havefor a disk quota setXP. The VM has thea RoyaleObama theme with the Stormy Blissand wallpaper set by default. TheBoth VMthe hasWindows 79.8XP GBand Windows 2000 partitions have 40GB of disk space, since May 27, 2023. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with a QXL graphics card, allowing it to run some basic 2D applications.

VM2 and [[VM1]] arewas the only VMsother onVM thealong sitewith that[[VM1]] haveto nevernot have changed operating systems, andsince it'sits theintroduction, onlyuntil VMMay on27, the2023 site that has kept the exact operating system (in VM1's case,when it switched from Tiny7 to fulla Windowsdual-boot 7)configuration. It is currently the firstonly official VM on the site to have two operating systems installed, but [[VM3]] also had a dual-boot setup at some point.
